We offer Transition Year as an optional one year programme post Junior Cycle.
It is an excellent programme that reflects the main aims of the guidelines published by the Department of Education and Skills.
The following curriculum outlined embodies the main aims of the programme and we are very proud of our students academic, personal and social growth throughout the year.
English, Irish, Maths, History, Geography, Music, Art Business, French, German, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Construction Studies, DCG and Guidance
Work Experience is an integral part of the TY Programme
Our Transition Year students take part in a 1 day work experience every week for the whole year. This provides a valuable opportunity to engage in meaningful work that will support them in their own research for their chosen career path.
Our Transition Year Students are involved in a wide range of projects and events which provides great opportunities for Leadership & Organisational experiences and training.
Unfortunately this year we were unable to celebrate our TY Graduation in our usual end of year ceremony where we take huge pride on they skills and talents each student has developed and explored throughout the year. We have gone virtual this year to celebrate your achievements. Well done to our TY Class of 2020!
